Many schools have developed signature learning programs that have become defining elements of the student experience. Whether through grade-level travel programs, experiential learning weeks, diploma certificates, community-based learning initiatives, or culminating experiences tied to key transition points, these programs often reflect a school’s mission, values, and educational priorities in visible and meaningful ways.
This meet-up will highlight several signature program models from Institute for Global Learning member schools and explore how they were designed, implemented, and sustained over time. Presenters will share lessons learned related to program vision, student learning outcomes, staffing, logistics, stakeholder engagement, and long-term sustainability. Participants will have the chance to discuss with and learn from other schools at various stages of program implementation, from the “just an idea” phase to innovating longstanding programs.
Institute for Global Learning Meet-Ups are informal, member-driven spaces designed to foster peer connection and discussion around topics of shared interest. Each session begins with one or two schools sharing their experiences, followed by small-group breakout discussions.
